Banana, Chocolate and Walnut Porridge

Inspired by the delicious Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey Ice cream but for your morning porridge!

Hello and good morning! If you're reading this you've come here for a delicious porridge recipe which you will most certainly find. Creamy banana and chocolate oats topped with walnuts for a lovely crunch! I can't promise it will taste exactly or anything like the ice cream I mentioned above, wouldn't that be nice, but if you like those flavours this will certainly satisfy you. Or you could eat a tub of B&J Chunky Monkey for breakfast and I totally wouldn't judge - I'll be doing the same when they bring out a vegan version ;)

Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 3-5 minutes
Serves: 1

NOTE: every ingredient I use is vegan so make sure you check your ingredients if you're following a Vegan lifestyle.


40g Oats
1 Banana - ½ mashed ½ sliced
1 tbsp Walnuts chopped
1 tbsp Cocoa powder or chocolate protein powder
1 tsp Vanilla 
200ml Soya milk


✿In a bowl, add the oats, mashed banana half, cocoa powder/protein powder, vanilla and soya milk. 
Place in the microwave and cook about 3-5 minutes depending on the power of your microwave. Make sure to stir halfway and add more liquid if needed.
Once cooked top with the sliced banana and walnuts. Enjoy!
